Unforgettable moments in the Hohe Tauern National Park

In spring and summer, Pinzgau, in the Hohe Tauern holiday region, is unbelievably lush while in the autumn the many splendid colours are manifest. During this time you get to experience our unique natural surroundings and recharge your batteries while out hiking, walking, climbing, mountaineering, cycling, swimming or even during a game of golf on the golf course at Hohe Tauern National Park, which is a mere 5 minutes away.

In the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region there are some 120 Alpine pastures, which feed and provide a bit of indulgence for over 7000 Pinzgau beef cattle and hikers alike. When at the start of June the Alpine dairy managers get the Alpine inns up and running, Alpine summer is back - with its warm sunny days, wonderful Pinzgau treats, festivals and long evenings beneath the starry sky. A sky which seems mind-bogglingly close up at 1000 metres altitude.
